UI Questions - Guild Wars Forums

Back with some more questions- I gotta say I really appreciate how helpful everyone is here.

First of all, is there a way to hide the UI on the character selection screen, so I can take a nice full-screen shot of my character? Ditto for In-game.

2 things that bother me currently are the health bars above my heroes' heads (ive got the party tab open to show thier status, so it's redundant), and the "party leader" indicator in towns- is there any way to hide either? I spend most of my time soloing- my roommate jokingly asked about the "Hide Other Players" option.

On the other hand, I get tired of holding down the Alt Key all the time in town, is there a way to toggle NPC names on?

Lastly, my Necro chick would be kinda hot, if it wasnt for that horrible skin condition... are there any mods that would let me change the skin maps?

For hiding the UI, press ctrl, shift + h.

#2; Don't think you can disable either of those, unfortunately.

#3; Yet again, I don't believe so.

#4; Skin condition? Umm...I do believe that is the armor, just get a different set. My female necro was make in Factions and she looks just fine, nothing wrong with her skin. Also, there are no GW "mods" that you can use, as 3rd party programs can and probably will get you banned.

hmm, you're right, I just pulled it off her and she looks normal when she's naked. annoyingly, both the Istani and Sunspear armor give her several dark patches of 'skin'. seeing as it's tha armor though, I guess there's really nothing I can do about the looks.

I wasn't really looking for a 3rd party program, just a way to edit her appearance. I come from CoH/CoV, which is pretty open to that sort of mod- it's client side, and has no effect on gameplay.

The Factions and Prophecies armor does not have that odd tattooing effect, so if you have either of those chapters, just go there and get new armor.

I have the Prophecies Scars armor on my Factions Necro, but I also don't really care for the tattoo look of the Nightfall armor.

F11 and selecting the Interface tab will allow you to resize the healthbars or move them somewhere less obtrusive. Might even have an option to turn them off, not sure about that though. Keep in mind that they can be useful for CTRL Clicking on to call out your health or energy when in a group of real people.
